Budding Herbalist Camp is a hands-on summer day camp for children under 10, designed to explore herbs, plants, and creativity together. Held the first week of August on our herb farm in West Greenwich,  this camp creates a shared learning experience rooted in curiosity, care, and connection.

Camp takes place August 3-7, 2006  from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.  Each week, campers will explore the world of herbs through age-appropriate, sensory-rich activities including plant identification, art and plant pressing, herbal journaling, and making simple remedies like teas and lip balms (and we will hike and swim). We’ll learn about herbs for digestion, boo-boos, sleep, coughs, and colds, all in a fun, accessible way that empowers kids and caregivers alike.

This is a relaxed, supportive environment where children can learn by doing, ask questions, and build a relationship with plants.

CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OLD MUST ATTEND WITH A GUARDIAN OR PARENT.

2026 HERB CAMP DATES: July 20-24, 10am-3pm
Established in 2004, our small herbal day camp has become the highlight of our year! Many campers return year after year, growing up with us and often coming back as counselors.
Herb Camp is for children ages 7-15, and takes place at Farmacy Herbs’ herb farm in West Greenwich, RI. Camp runs Monday to Friday from 10am-3pm, 7/20-7/24. Campers bring their own lunch.

Activities Include:
Physical activities, such as hiking, and game time.
Herbal and garden related activities: including herb harvesting, plant identification, teas and lip balms.
Art projects: Participants draw pictures of herbs, participate in leaf and flower pressing.
Theatre: The last day of the program, participants create their own play and costumes, and perform the play for their families.
