Mullein Flower

This little yellow flower is strikingly beautiful between the hours of 7am-11am. It's petals are reaching wide open, the stamen and pistol covered in pollen.. In the afternoon, Mullein flowers tend to either fall up or close. That is why we harvest them in the morning after the dew has dried.

We use the flower in an infused oil for ear health.
This means we take the flower and soak it in olive oil on low heat for about 8 hours. Before we put it in the oil, we let it dry out for a few hours so there is minimal water content to spoil the oil.

We also had fresh raw garlic to the oil to help with inflammation in the ear.

Gently warm up the Mullein oil. At your own risk, take a couple drops of the gently warm (NOT HOT) Mullein oil and apply into ear canal. You can also rub the oil on the skin outside of the ear canal (near the jawbone). Apply a warm washcloth over it and lay down with the treated ear facing the ceiling.
